Premier Anxiety Treatment Los Angeles | West Hollywood

If you're looking for a new solution for treatment of anxiety, welcome.

The Anxiety Pattern That Started This.

Every morning at 7:47 AM, my associate Jenny would arrive to the office on Santa Monica Blvd, usually in a chipper mood, singing along to some 90s R&B jam, which was one of the many reasons I'd hired her.

She'd tell me that most morning's she'd arrive ready for her daily life routine of helping people navigate the unique psychological disorders that manifest in Los Angeles life.

Then, as she'd reached for the door, the whisper would come:

"Did you turn the oven off?"

And just like that—all the physical symptoms of anxiety would rush in - heart racing, shortness of breath, stomach churning. All the physical symptoms of anxiety appearing in real time, out of the blue.

For months, she did what any reasonable Angeleno would do.

She'd either:

  • Sprint home fighting panic attacks only to find her dog asleep and the oven cold (losing her good mood and returning to the office frazzled)

  • Or, she'd white-knuckle through the morning, haunted by that one time in 2015 when she actually had left the oven on, still worrying.

  • OR she'd try to logic herself out of it, pulling on practical tools and her extensive relaxation training. (spoiler: never worked)

That whisper of doubt is called inferential confusion, it's the start of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and  repetitive behaviors, its the start of worry that's prevalent in generalized anxiety disorder and several other types of anxiety disorders.

Jenny was a psychotherapist specializing in evidence-based treatment for anxiety disorders in Los Angeles, so she knew all the gold-standard treatments for anxiety disorder.

AND yes... she was still held hostage by a kitchen appliance.

Until we saw what was actually happening in real time and looked at it as if we were creating one of our new individualized treatment plans for anxiety.

Our Anxiety Treatment Approach: It's Never About The Oven

Jenny's anxiety had created a pattern so elegant, so predictable, we almost admired it

  • Trigger: Office door + keys

  • Thought: House door = oven danger = dog!

  • Response: worry, anxiety, doubt, stress.

  • Result: Anxiety wins

Every time.

Not because anything was wrong with her, or that she'd forgotten to turn the oven off.

Definitely not because she needed better relaxation training or some more cognitive therapy.

But because she was playing by rules of anxiety she'd never agreed to—rules that were disrupting her everyday life.

And if you're reading this at 3 AM between Instagram doom-scrolls and tomorrow's catastrophe rehearsals, you're playing by them too.

Welcome to Los Angeles: Where Anxiety Gets Professional

One in seven adults in California experiences psychological disorders.

Nearly one in five nationwide struggled with symptoms of anxiety in the past two weeks.

If you're between 18-29, those numbers skyrocket.

But statistics don't capture what it's like to seek effective treatment in Los Angeles.

Mental Health Treatment Programs or online articles don't capture the special hell of being an entertainment professional where:

  • Your agent hasn't called in three months

  • AI might replace you next quarter

  • You're juggling four side hustles to pay rent in Beverly Hills

  • Every coffee meeting could be your big break or another dead end

  • You need to look camera-ready at Trader Joe's because you might run into that producer

They don't capture the particular torture of hustle culture anxiety, where:

  • Rest feels like career suicide

  • Networking with Social Anxiety Disorder is next to impossible.

  • Your worth is measured in IMDb credits or LinkedIn updates

  • Everyone's "killing it" on social while you're finding social media to be a twisted form of exposure therapy.

  • The grind is glorified but grinding yourself to a panic disorder.

The Gold-Standard Treatments Should Not Be About 'Tools'.

If the ultimate goal of a treatment program is to achieve a perfectly calm, symptom-free existence by endlessly accumulating coping skills to battle every uncomfortable feeling, we've got a problem.

This idea, often peddled with the best intentions by many well-meaning therapists and self-help gurus, is the most sophisticated trap anxiety has ever devised.

We're challenging is the almost singular focus on symptom management as the primary indicator of progress. It's the idea that if you just learn enough breathing exercises, grounding techniques, distraction methods, get better medication management, or use more positive affirmations, you'll eventually wrestle anxiety into submission. It positions anxiety as a problem to be solved by constantly doing something to make the feeling go away.

Tools and skills are a form of treatment, sure, but they're only part of the solution for treatment that's effective and long lasting.

Here’s Why Your Anxiety Symptoms Are Getting Worse

It Reinforces Experiential Avoidance:

Every time you successfully use a technique or practical tools to immediately escape or numb an uncomfortable sensation, your brain learns: "Discomfort is dangerous; I must avoid it."

This deepens the fear of your own internal states and shrinks your tolerance for life's inherent uncertainties. You become a firefighter, constantly on alert, instead of an architect of your resilience.

It Makes Anxiety the Enemy to Be Conquered

When the goal is to eliminate anxiety, you're set up for a battle you can't win. Anxiety is a natural human signaling system.

Trying to obliterate it is like trying to remove all the nerve endings in your hand because you don't like the sensation of pain. It's misguided and exhausting.

It Focuses on the Symptoms, Not the Underlying "Rules" or Relationship:

This approach is like constantly mopping the floor without fixing the leaky faucet.People learn to cope (sometimes) with the manifestations of anxiety, but they rarely get to the "hidden rulebook" that anxiety uses to run their livesor fundamentally change their relationship with it.They’re still playing anxiety’s game, just with more defensive moves.

It Breeds a "Coping Skill Addiction" Mentality:

People often end up with a broad range of techniques they desperately try to deploy in a panic, which can paradoxically increase their sense of overwhelm and failure when a skill "doesn't work" in the heat of the moment.

They believe more coping tools should equal less anxiety, but often find themselves more frustrated.

It Delays True Empowerment:

As long as the focus is on managing feelings, people are less likely to engage in the "Adventurous" work of testing their fears, or the "Game-Changing" work of proactively rewriting their responses to anxiety. They remain reactive, not proactive.

Our Program's Provocative Truth

"The 10 Rules of Anxiety" flips this on its head. Me and my specialized staff believe true freedom comes not from an absence of anxiety, but from a profound shift in your relationship to it.It’s about understanding its game so well that you no longer take its bait, no longer obey its outdated commands.

It’s about building the courage to feel, to act based on your values even when anxious, and to realize that anxiety’s bark is almost always worse than its bite when you stop struggling against it and start strategically engaging with it.

We're not fighting anxiety itself; we're fighting the disempowering misconceptions about how to deal with it. That’s the enemy that keeps people trapped, and that’s the narrative we’re here to change.

Anxiety Treatment Centers Don't Tell You About The 10 Rules

  1. The Comparison Contract: Everyone's highlight reel is your behind-the-scenes reality

  2. The Certainty Demand: You must have 100% guarantee before you act

  3. The Self-Attack Statute: If something goes wrong, it's your fault

  4. The Doom Loop Clause: One worried thought = definitive proof of disaster

  5. The Law of Inadequacy: You lack what it takes (despite surviving everything so far)

  6. The Constant Threat Imperative: Danger everywhere, escape is the only option

  7. The Small Is Safe Directive: Shrink your world to shrink your fear

  8. The Worry Solution Paradox: Imagining disaster prevents disaster

  9. The Priority Principle: Every anxious thought deserves immediate attention

  10. The Boomerang Effect: Fighting anxiety makes it stronger

You've been following these rules perfectly.

That's why you're exhausted.

That's why traditional behavioral treatment and other evidence based treatments in Los Angeles often fall short.

Our Treatment Of Anxiety Disorders Is Different. Like, really Different.

WE WILL NEVER Pile On Endless "Coping Skills" as the Primary Solution.

  • NOPE: The belief that the more coping mechanisms you collect, the less anxious you'll be.

  • Our Stance: This is often a recipe for feeling overwhelmed and like a failure when anxiety inevitably breaks through.

  • Coping skills can be useful pitstops, but they are not the destination. Our focus isn't on giving you a thousand ways to momentarily manage panic or stress; it's on fundamentally changing the relationship that breeds it.We aim to fix the engine, not just polish the dents.

WE WILL NEVER Let "Symptom Suppression" Be the Holy Grail.

  • NOPE The idea that the main goal of anxiety treatment is to make anxious feelings and thoughts simply "go away."

  • Our Stance: Trying to constantly outmaneuver or silence anxiety is an exhausting, unwinnable battle. It often gives anxiety more power. We don't promise to eradicate anxiety (it's a human signal, after all).

  • We promise to help you stop obeying it, to strip it of its authority, and to function powerfully even when it shows up.

WE WILL NEVER Equate "Worry" with "Productive Preparation"

  • NOPE The pervasive myth that your endless loops of "what ifs" are somehow making you safer or more prepared.

  • Our approach to treatment: We call worry what it often is: a "false friend", a mental habit that mimics problem-solving but rarely leads to effective action. It’s often "fake problem-solving."We teach you to distinguish between the genuinely useful "signal" and the exhausting "noise" of habitual worry, so you can stop spinning and start solving.

WE WILL NEVER Insist You Must "Feel Safe" or "Certain" Before You Can Live Fully.

  • NOPE The notion that the primary aim is to create a bubble of constant safety and predictability, akin to exposure therapy

  • Our approach to treatment: Chasing perpetual safety is an illusion that shrinks your world. True resilience comes from building your capacity to tolerate discomfort and uncertainty, to "want the discomfort" when it’s in service of your values.

  • We teach you to be brave even when you don’t feel safe, to step into the unknown with new tools, not to hide from it.

WE WILL NEVER Allow You to Believe Your Anxious Thoughts Are Unquestionable Truths or That Your Feelings Are Facts.

  • Nope The idea that every anxious thought is a critical warning you must heed, or that every uncomfortable feeling is a red alert.

  • Our Stance: The clinical team will teach you to become a "Scientist", a "Detective", and a "Judge"of your own internal experience.

  • You’ll learn to observe your thoughts without automatically believing them, to question their function, and to understand that feelings, while valid, are not always accurate reporters of reality.

  • The "10 Rules of Anxiety" framework itself is about exposing the flawed logic anxiety uses to convince you, it's not taught in any other anxiety treatment centers, because, well, we created them!

We're committed to a form of treatment that smart, provocative, captivating. and effective.

This means we’re not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom if it keeps people stuck.

Our goal isn't to make you a better "coper"; it's to help you become a true "Game-Changer" in your own everyday life, equipped with a new understanding and a new set of rules that you write yourself. This is about reclaiming your power, not just managing your fear.
